Wake up with makeup perfectly applied every day. Never having to be dependent on make-up, no more eyebrow pencil, eyeliner, lip pencils or even lipstick. You can improve your appearance and will have the convenience of lip color, eyebrows and eyeliner that won't rub off, smudge or smear.
Permanent cosmetic makeup is a state of the art form of cosmetic tattooing that is called "micro-pigmentation" and unlike tattoo, it is a very subtle enhancement of facial features that looks VERY NATURAL. The specialized techniques used for permanent cosmetics are often referred to as "micro pigmentation"or "micro-pigment implantation". The cosmetic implantation technique deposits tiny individual implants of pigment into the dermal layer of the skin.
These procedures are a process which includes the initial consultation, initial application of pigment, and usually one follow up visit for adjusting the shape and color or density of the pigment.

We will be glad to offer you a free consultation. At this point, we Pre-Screen you and decide the course of action with you. Because it is a specialty service, every appointment is time sensitive. In order to provide each client with the ideal amount of time and relaxing environment for a procedure, we require a $75 deposit per procedure requested to secure your appointment and to be later adjusted in the total fee that you may owe to the technician. However, if you have to cancel or reschedule your consultation with less than 48 hours notice there will be a $25 rescheduling fee, to be paid before re-scheduling you next appointment. If you choose to cancel or reschedule your appointment, a minimum 48 hour advance notice is mandatory or the deposit becomes non- refundable. Thank you in advance for your understanding. We look forward to working with you!
Although this is a permanent procedure, color will fade over time and will require maintenance visits (once in two years or so).
Permanent cosmetics procedures are of a skin invasive nature (as they are a form of cosmetic tattoo) and therefore you may experience some discomfort. This may vary according to each individual's pain threshold and the skills of the technician performing the service. A topical anesthetic is applied to numb the area and to significantly reduce discomfort.
Sometimes the procedure causes temporary swelling, redness and in rare cases, bruising. Most people do not need to take time from their employment and some people have their touch-ups done on their lunch hour while others prefer to take a day to recover. People who get eyeliner done may need to start work little late next day because of puffiness that occurs because of lying all night, which goes away in 1-2 hours after they wake up and start walking around.
The range of colors available to be implanted is almost endless and can be custom tailored to fit every individual's need. Shape and positioning can be perfected. The color can heal to a soft natural look or it can be very dramatic. The color can also be placed in strokes or lines to emulate hair, such as with a permanent eyebrow procedure.
Permanent make-up is the perfect solution for reshaping uneven lips and for making the lips appear larger and fuller. It has the added benefit of preventing lipstick from bleeding. It covers scars and can give the lips a very natural look, or may be applied more heavily for a classic dramatic look.
During your first visit, there will be a 15-30 minutes consultation. On the day of procedure appointment, it may take 2 to 3 hrs depending on the procedure you desire. A free follow up visit may also be necessary, depending on individual needs.
Anytime the skin is open, even from a tiny scratch, infection is possible. The treated area must be kept clean and the given ointment must be applied every 2 to 3 hrs. For first 3-5 days. There are usually no major complications.
Sometimes there is swelling of the treated area. This may last from two to seventy two hours. There may be some tenderness for 2-5 days. The color may be darker than you would expect for the first 5-7 days. It then fades about 30% to 40%.
We may perform a scratch test upon request with the chosen pigment to reduce the chance of an unexpected allergic reaction but keep in mind that you can develop an allergy to anything at anytime. Many doctors recommend that people who are allergic to cosmetics have these procedures done because they will replace cosmetic products that they are sensitive to.
Procedures are done under strict hygienic conditions and standards in line with those set by the Centers for Disease Control. All supplies are used one time only (disposable). Documented allergic reactions to permanent cosmetic procedures are extremely rare. Skin testing may be done by technicians, either routinely or upon request.
These procedures are ART and not science. These procedures may be more expensive at doctor’s office. Please be aware that while a doctor may provide a "general anesthetic" you, the client, have no control over the position of color. Some MD's are trained in these procedures, but most prefer to stay within their field of expertise and they have some body (permanent make up artist) work for them from their office to perform these procedures on clients. Because I have practiced cosmetic artistry, I have experience helping people with color, design, balance and compatibility.
The only precautions involve the lips. If you have a history of fever blisters, cold sores, shingles, canker sores or mouth ulcers, you must get a prescription of anti-viral medication prescribed by a doctor prior to the procedure. This helps eliminate a virus from occurring. If there are any more concerns, they will be discussed in the consultation/ pre-screen visit.
